Godday Godday Chaa: A Combo of bone tickling comedy and a serious fight of women’s getting their rights

Godday Godday Chaa directed by Vijay Kumar Arora is a perfect family entertainer. The story which has been written by Jagdeep Sidhu. The unique concept which not only is filled with comedy, powerful punches side but a moral side too which shows us female raising their voice against male dominated society.

The story of film is about Rani (Sonam Bajwa) who is B.A first-division topper gets married to Bagga (Gitaz Bindrakhia). The newlywed bride Rani gets thought of why the women don’t get involved in the Baraat. She starts to convince women of her village to raise other ice against not being allowed to go to Baraat but faces backlash from the male dominating society as shown in the film. But she didn’t give up and schemes an event for her sister Nikko(Tania) and her brother-in-law Pintu’s (Gurjazz) wedding so that women of the family and village get involved in Baraat.

The dialogues of Godday Godday Chaa are spectacular, filled with comedy and punches tickling our bones. We got a hear old Punjabi dialects. According to the concept, the dialogues are also very impactful. Now talking about Music, it was a superb mixture of emotional songs and high-energy-filled songs that make you dance. Background music also did a splendid job of connecting audience with story.

Film has an extraordinary star cast which undeniably did good job. Sonam Bajwa as Rani was the best and has given her best performance. The character of Nirmal Rishi, Rupinder Rupi and Gurpreet Bhangu was best supporting. Tania’s character as Nikko was energetic, lively and kept on entertaining in the film. Gitaaz and Gunjaaz did fair job playing their characters.

The movie has a slow start and slowly starts to moves to the right path and starts entertaining the audience. After that each minute something pops up that keep us anticipating for next scene. This film not only entertains us but also teaches us something from the historical tradition Punjab to females fighting for their rights.
