KableOne Honors Wrestler Vinesh Phogat with Contribution and Potential Film Project
KableOne, a soon-to-be-launched global OTT platform, has announced a special honor for Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat. The announcement was made today on their social media, featuring Punjabi actress Sonia Mann, who stars in the upcoming OTT original ‘Constable Harjeet Kaur.’ The platform has also shown interest in creating a feature film based on Vinesh Phogat’s life.
In their official statement, KableOne praised Vinesh Phogat, despite her missing out on the Olympics due to a slight weight increase. The statement, shared on social media, read, “Vinesh Phogat is still a champion in our eyes. KableOne admires her dedication, loyalty, and sportsmanship toward her country. In recognition of her passion and commitment to wrestling, KableOne is proud to contribute ₹500,000 to Vinesh Phogat. Additionally, if Vinesh agrees, KableOne is ready to tell her inspiring story through a film in our ‘Stories of Punjab’ series, which will showcase her determination and the challenges she has faced.”
When asked about this gesture, KableOne’s CEO, Mr. Simranjeet Singh, said, “Vinesh Phogat is a national pride, and as a platform, we are honored to show our respect and support for her. If we have the opportunity to make a film about her journey as a wrestler, it would be a privilege for us. We wholeheartedly stand by her and wish her the best.”
KableOne is an all-in-one app that will offer Video on Demand (VOD), digital Linear TV, and a 24×7 digital radio service, and is set to launch soon.
