“PR” is an upcoming Punjabi film, helmed and headlined by the ace team of singer & actor Harbhajan Mann & director Manmohan Singh. This is a highly significant film that brings back together these two monumental figures of the Punjabi entertainment world, who together delivered 5 back to back blockbuster films, which set up the new Golden Age of Punjabi cinema. Their all-time blockbusters such as Jee Aayan Nu, Asa Nu Maan Watna Da, Dil Apna Punjabi, Mitti Waajan Maardi, and Mera Pind- My Home are films that consolidated the strength of Punjabi cinema worldwide, and still maintain cult like popularity amongst audiences across India and in the Indian diaspora.

The film also includes a star cast featuring popular actors Karamjit Anmol, Kanwaljit Singh, Kamaljit Neeru, Amar Noori, and the late legendary, beloved singer Sardool Sikander, who appears in his last commercial appearance in a role that is sure to win over audiences. As the female lead, the film launches an exciting new actor, Delbar Arya, who is sure to make a mark in the industry for several years to come.

The versatile, trend setting and melodious soundtrack of the film features tracks by an all-star line-up of Harbhajan Mann, Ranjit Bawa, Sardool Sikander, Mannat Noor and a Shabad by Bhai Bhupinder Singh Raagi Fazilka Waale.

As with all their previous films, Harbhajan Mann & Manmohan Singh showcase in “PR” a story that is entertaining, relatable and riveting, which is meant to be enjoyed by complete family audiences worldwide. Shot across breath taking locations across Canada & India, the film features a narrative of a man who embarks on a journey to solve the mystery and find out what happened to his significant other; a young girl, who like hundreds of thousands of Punjabi Indians, immigrated to a foreign country to obtain a PR status but has since disappeared and cut off contact with her loved ones. Concerned and tracing her whereabouts, he reaches Canada to uncover the truth. The experiences, people and circumstances he finds himself in forms the complete storyline. The very contentious and trending issue of young students who have went to Canada for PR, and their mistreatment and struggles over there at the hands of their own countrymen, is also addressed in a very truthful and unique manner.  The entire storyline and screenplay ultimately features a wide and cohesive range of romance, comedy and drama right until its final second.

“PR” is an event film which has all the ingredients to strike a major chord with the hearts of film lovers across the globe. Everything from its storyline, star cast, soundtrack, and the headlining reunion of the actor-director duo, has the makings of the film being a major milestone in Punjabi cinema. Set to release in cinemas worldwide on May 13th 2022.
