Verse 1
The trees are excited to share that
today, their prayers have been heard
branches have grown on branches
even shadows are now sheltered by shadows
Verse 2
By themselves when in childhood
they braid doll hair
it feels like as if
daughters are little mothers
Verse 3
As I slept in my room
I woke up from the walls
Upon seeing my healthy reflection
demons fled away from me
Verse 4
I was afraid of thorns
I did not walk barefoot
Still, I had blisters
My sandals did not suit me
Verse 5
Due to ‘time sickness’
I may not digest them
but these songs aren’t outdated
and these poems aren’t stale
