Pind Virasat an initiative by Fatehjit Singh, a resident of Shermajra village near Patiala, has revived the Old Punjab customs on his land. He has named his initiative “Pind Virasat”
During the conversation, he said that he wanted to preserve the forgotten Punjabi culture and so he created an atmosphere on his own land in a very artistic way that gives a glimpse of the very old Punjab. Here there are many things to show the old ways, tools, food and drinks, living, old games, etc. People come from far and wide to see a glimpse of this unique village and feel proud of their heritage.
ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਸ਼ੇਰਮਾਜਰਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਫਤਿਹਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਤੌ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਸਜੀਵ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ| ਓਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਸ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ “ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ” ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ|
ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਸਰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਭ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਹੂ ਬ ਹੂ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਦੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ| ਇਥੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਤੌਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ, ਸੰਦ ਔਜਾਰ, ਖਾਣ ਪੀਣ, ਰਹਿਣ ਸਹਿਣ, ਲੋਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ| ਲੋਕ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਇਸ ਅਨੋਖੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਦੇਖਣ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ|
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਵੀ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ| ਵੀ ਸੀ ਆਰ ਚੈਨਲ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਓਹਨਾ ਅਨੋਖੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਰੁ ਬ ਰੁ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ|
