Watch your ‘Singham’ bashing the baddies on the big screen in a ‘Turban’ on 9th

Turban is a symbol of pride and respect for Punjabis. To get a chance to wear it, is considered to be an honour for anyone who belongs to the state of Punjab and the same sentiments are shared by the hero of upcoming Punjabi film – Singham, which shall see the much-revered character played by Ajay Devgn, for the first time in a “turbaned avatar”.

Though the lead role in Punjabi version of Singham is being played by Parmish Verma, who doesn’t happen to be a Sikh yet he has shown extreme respect for the role he’s given and considers it as a matter of pride and honour to be able to wear the ‘dastaar’.

“It is an absolute honour to be allowed to wear a turban. The turban literally sets you apart from the crowd. Wearing it for the role of Singham, has given me a unique identity and made me stand out,” he says.

Releasing on 9th August, Punjabi Singham is the official remake of Ajay Devgn’s Singham that has fetched a cult following nationwide. Directed by Navaniat Singh and with its written by Dheeraj Rattan, Singham stars Sonam Bajwa as the leading lady of Parmish, while Kartar Cheema plays the role of the antagonist.
